What made Riyadh the right choice for Rebellions AI’s regional headquarters? Saudi Arabia combines several factors important for building AI infrastructure at scale: significant investment in digital infrastructure, a clear national ambition around AI, and access to energy and capital. Those conditions made Riyadh a natural base for our expansion into the region. We also see strong alignment between Saudi Arabia’s ambitions and what Rebellions is building. Riyadh puts us close to the companies, investors, and institutions developing the Kingdom’s AI infrastructure, while giving us a base from which to serve opportunities across the broader Middle East. How is…

Seasonal influenza is an acute respiratory infection caused by influenza viruses circulating around the world. For many UAE parents balancing work, school runs and the demands of family life, handing a toddler a phone or tablet can feel like an easy way to buy a few quiet minutes. However, doctors say the more important question is not always how much time a child spends on a screen — it is what that screen time may be replacing. Research commissioned by The 1001 Critical Days Foundation and examining screen exposure during the first 1,001 days of life has renewed concerns about the potential impact of screens on children under two. The study links early screen exposure…
BUENOS AIRES — Argentine President Javier Milei has escalated tensions with the UK over the Falkland Islands, warning he will impose economic sanctions on oil companies drilling in the British overseas territory claimed by Argentina. Milei’s comments in a televised national address on Thursday came days after US President Donald Trump said he was reviewing Washington’s neutral position on the remote archipelago in the South Atlantic. Milei said the “winds of change” favored Argentina’s claim to the islands, emboldened by signs the US might reconsider its stance of neutrality on the issue. Sovereignty of the archipelago in the southwest Atlantic…
The enterprise push into AI agents is outpacing the ability to secure them, according to new research from Rubrik Zero Labs. Rubrik announced recently the findings from the report, which show organisations are operationalising autonomous systems without the controls required to govern them, introducing a gap between innovation and security. Based on a survey of more than 1,600 IT and security leaders, the report reveals: 86% expect AI agents to outpace their organisation’s security guardrails within the next year. Only 23% report full visibility into the agents operating in their environments, which the report notes is likely an over-estimation on…
