Establishments that employ expatriates who violate regulations, allow their workers to work for themselves or for others, or employ workers sponsored by other employers face a fine of up to SAR100,000, the Ministry of Interior said on Monday. Other penalties include a ban on recruiting new workers for up to five years, publication of the establishment’s name, and up to one year in prison for the responsible manager, who will be deported if an expatriate. MAKKAH — Sheikh Ibrahim bin Adel Al-Madani, a longtime muezzin of the Grand Mosque in Makkah, has died on Monday at the age of 51. Sheikh Al-Madani was one of the 24 principal muezzins at the Grand Mosque and a member of the mosque’s Makbariyah (call to prayer system).
