TOKYO — At least three people were killed in a suspected arson attack at a cake shop in central Japan, local media reported Sunday. BEIRUT — At least four people were killed and 20 others injured in Israeli airstrikes across southern Lebanon on Sunday, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry, amid an escalation in attacks despite a US-brokered framework agreement. The ministry’s Emergency Operations Center said two people were killed and two others injured in Nabatieh Al-Fawqa, while eight people, including a woman and a girl, were wounded in the Al-Rahibat neighborhood of Nabatieh. TAIZ — Yemeni government forces said Sunday they inflicted “heavy losses” on the Houthis during fierce clashes in the southwestern province of Taiz. DAMASCUS — The new Saudi Ambassador to Syria Ghazi Al-Anzi presented his credentials to Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa. During their meeting in Damascus, the ambassador conveyed the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to al-Sharaa.
